A BRINKWORTH FINE SCALE MODELS BUILD In 2017 a commission to build a 1:10 scale model of a privately owned 2004 Lola Ford Champ Car was received, and in an effort to keep the remoulding cost down to a minimum for the client, a second model of that 2004 Champ Car was produced at the same time. That second model was finished as a 2004 Newman/Haas Racing, #2 Sebastien Bourdais 2004 Champ Car World Series Championship car. Several models of this car were build for Newman/Haas Racing, Sebastien himself, and his family in France, back in 2005, but none were available for sale to the general public at that time. Pictures of the presentation to Sebastien at that time, are shown below.
I personally commissioned this additional build with the intention of offering it for sale on this website. It's a stunning model, built entirely by my Son Barry under his new company name "Brinkworth Fine Scale Models". I am tempted to keep the model for my own personal collection, as it has many additional little details, particularly in the cockpit, and is beautifully finished. It would be a classic addition to any collection. The model is under an acrylic cover with a black wood trimmed base, covered in a carbon fibre sheet, produced specifically for Brinkworth Models, at the Elan Motorsport factory in 2007 in the US, builders of the Panoz DP01 race car. These bases are a completely new design by my Son Barry, and are purposefully made quite different from our original bases produced back in the day. |
