At the Grand Prix of Long Beach in 1994, Carl wanted his 1:5 scale model on display at the race, and on the left you can see it at his motorhome Hospitality Area, sporting a Red #1, instead of the usual Red #5.   The 1993 model being an almost identical Lola Cosworth as the 1994 car of Nigel's, which did run with the Red #1    His teammate Mario Andretti, ran with a red #6 on his car, in his final year as an active driver with Newman Haas Racing.     Nigel Mansell returned to Formula 1 again, at the end of the 1994 Indy season.
